Fire In The Hole!

VPX is my Sponsoring Supplement Company. I got my monthly shippment in yesterday. It was full of goodies. Some Redline Princess...which I love to sip on for extra energy to keep up with my kids.
And it also had a product called Liquid Clenbutrx:

(Yah, that is not me in the picture....but maybe soon I will show up somewhere in the pages of VPX)

This product ROCKS!!! Whooosh, I am telling you. I kept it by my bed and rolled over and took it first thing in the morning. You take barely any (3ml, max 6ml per day...and with any new product..you go easy. Please don't ever take a full dose unless you know how your body is going to react. I only took 3ml today total, to be careful. I have learned over the years how my body reacts to certain types of ingredients.
This was Atomic. Intense heat filled my mouth and I could follow it as I swallowed and it went down into my stomach. Within a minutes I was rocking! It lasted a long time. This is a fat incinerator. Energy boosting is an extra benefit.

My super long workout was kick "bootie" and legs. Or, it seemed longer as I kept staring at my meal, not stopping to eat til I was done pushing the weights around. Let me tell you, "no one in the gym better get between me and my meal when this workout is over"...was all I could think.
My hubby joined me for a time, and was kind enough to pick up my youngest from preschool so I could finish the whole workout. Highlights from this morning included my favorites: super deep squats, and seated leg curls. My humor included my graceful approach to Step Mill Sprints! I totally have a love/hate relationship with that machine. As I have said before, and will most likely say again: I LOVE to HATE that machine!

Speaking about food. How's the meal plan working? Very well. I have not cheated once, except for sugar free Popsicles. I have had one each day. They are maybe 20-30 calories. What I find happens is the need for putting something into my mouth (no vulgar jokes please). It just seems like something is missing. I am just a nonstop all day muncher when I don't compete.
So, I feel the loss of chewing on different textures. But the key to my not cheating is in recognizing that is what is going on. And it is Not hunger! So, my words of advice are to be sure you are truly hungry when you eat. Or perhaps you are thirsty? Or maybe some stressor is occurring? I noticed it was mostly when the kids came home and I was giving them snacks and quite frankly right now, this evening - but I am currently full.
Yesterday I let my son give himself and my girls Ice Cream! Why? Because I may have attacked the snack cabinet! And, sometimes it's fun to give the kids a treat. I am all about balance, and they have learned to make healthy choices and also b able to enjoy treats from time to time.

The moral of my long winded story...be patient. Everything takes time, changing your eating habits included!!

Here's another one...my hubby today. He could not keep up. Why? Because he did not eat well. To fuel your body, you have got to eat right! And, a cup of coffee and my most very favorite cookies from It's A Grind are not going to cut it! Yes, he got my favorite cookie - this thing is amazing...and ate it. I was completely fine! Sad, but fine...hey 5 weeks will go by fast enough.
By the time we worked out today, I had already had two meals and was staring at meal three waiting for me after my workout. So what ensued for him was nausea, a greenish white ghost like appearance and lack of energy. I had him lay down and elevate his feet to get the blood back into the right places. And once the "edge" of the nausea wore off, I had him munch on a little bit of a protein bar.
I actually see this all the time in people and in my newer clients. You have got to eat! Yes, even before a workout. Okay, maybe not right before a workout :)

  1. Those are some great tips. And yes, I am an emotional eater. I have been doing great this week. Running and not snacking too much. But, I give myself a break for the weekends there are just too many people eating all around me to be that good. Although if I had your will power ;)

p.s. Claire was good, but so were you!
