I am excited yet intimidated. After competing on the National Level in the NPC for Figure last year, I am prepping for my first show of the year.
It will be the Arnold Classic -Amateur. This show is filled with pro athletes from Europe and Canada. So, the competition will be tough. Although, if you win at this National Level show, you will not win a pro card. But, if you win a pro card at a National Level show later in the year then you get invited back to compete in the Arnold Classic.
I am hoping to place in the top five, and am probably putting a great deal of pressure on myself. My first national show I was up against 40 girls who all look alike, and I thankfully placed 12th.
Using patience and hard work and a lot of sweat, I hope to make that climb to top five and ultimately win a pro card. Ideally placing 1st or 2nd at this show will turn many a judges heads my way and keep me in the running towards my very lofty goal.
I am 8 weeks away from stepping on the stage!
I am holding off on "dieting" but I really live a clean eating lifestyle. I ensure my body gets a great deal of protein to keep the muscles growing and burning off fat.
Today's workout was legs with a concentration on my inner and outer thighs. I still need more size all over my body...but that is where the patience comes in!!
The workout went great. It was fun, relatively uninterrupted - that allows me to get in, and get 'er done!!
