Brrruuuuutaaaallll!!

Okay,
I will be the first to admit that I do not like cardio. I am more of a fast twitch muscle fiber girl...bursts of speed. My nicknames in high school were "speed demon", and "mini sizzler". Mini, because being the third Sandler...I was a miniature of my two older brothers Michael and David Sandler...sizzler/Sandler... whatever. I am just grateful that I do not look like them or I would be one heck of an interesting looking woman! I digress.
Anyhow, I did a great Back and Ab workout but then I looked on my workout sheet and saw my daunting cardio assignment. The Step Mill - 30 Minutes. Ugh. I had never been on that thing longer then 12 minutes. I have a love hate relationship with it. I love what it does, but hate doing it! That sucker gets your -my heart rate up fast, and before I know it, I am huffing and puffing at 2 minutes into it. Now, I do have asthma and like to think that affects me in some way. But, I do not give up. I will always push through.
I survived! I made it through the full 30 minutes - trying to keep a smile on my face, and trying to keep my body over my butt and the squeezing concentration there to get everything I needed out of that machine.

That leads me to ask you...when you workout, are you just going through the motions or are you making the motions work for you?? With my clients, I am very big on concentrating on the muscle groups we're working to get every bit out of every exercise. So, I hope you all do that too!
