Go figure - excuse the pun :) But on our date night, we brought home two desserts for "the kids". Well, we get home after picking the girls up from a birthday party and head down to our church for Parent's Night Out. (once a month the church watches kids for parents to go on a date)To find that they baked cakes at the party. So now, we have an abundance of sweets and cakes in the house! Arrgghhh! Also, while we were out after dinner before we picked up the kids, we went to our favorite grocery store "Sprouts" . Needless to say...I got more bagels!
Okay, right now I am laughing...but this is a serious matter. I have got to get control. I did buy myself low carb bagels and regular ones for the family.
This morning for breakfast I had the last Einstein Bagel (cause that's the best one), left over cake off my daughters plate and then a taste of the cake my other daughter made at the party. I am now sipping on my protein -in water. Got to balance the meal out right?
And, yes. I am like every other parent and today was a "special" morning, where I let them have their cake for breakfast. You have to create fun memories, and enjoy life a little every now and then.
Here is a confession from my childhood. Every morning I would have Cheerios and then take the chocolate syrup and pour it in til it was very dark. Yummy! But, my how I have changed my eating habits over the years.
