I did up my weights in everything. And, my reps held up in the ten range. I am not dieting yet, and so I still have the strength to push hard.
Sometimes I wish I would ask for a spot to get me even further along. But, I hate to bother people, just like I want to get in and get 'er done, I assume most people feel that way.
My biggest adversary right now is the childcare at the gym. I have only 1 1/2 hrs from the point I put my littlest one in. If too many people chat, or I take a little longer to settle into my groove, then I am wasting time. Today, I ran out of time. I had to go back in to finish up cardio. However, the Golds only gives you and hour and half per day. So, I went to the Y where I work, for a quick 30 minutes on the bike. I felt bad dragging my girls there - even though it's fun for them. It's just part of the mommy guilt that I face. It's something most moms get when they take a bit of time for themselves. I wrestle with it a lot - you'll see.
Anyhow, my time on the bike... Hill Profile was tough to say the least! Not only because it was cardio, but because I was in the presence of friends, clients and staff - all of whom know how much I cannot stand cardio. It became a joke! I am a joke to my Y gang!!
My girlfriend Christine Jones was beside herself in disbelief - and so was her hubby Gary. They are avid triathletes - whom I have big respect for. I could never do what they and too many of my friends do! You guys are all crazy! But super cool!

She walked up to me at the 2 minute mark....two minutes into my ride...I was huffing and puffing. She thought I had been on there for a while already! She took a picture of me biking away - because it was a never before seen occurrence by her!
I had to dawn a smile and keep going in order to keep my "Tough Gym Girl" image!Christine and her hubby Gary were highly amused, and enjoyed cracking jokes...which for a while helped to pass the time. Christine was kind enough to come back at my countdown. I got off the bike after a meager thirty minutes and my legs felt like cinder blocks! Clunkity clunk. I looked up at her and wondered how the heck she was ever able to make a transition from bike to run!
But the clunky feeling in my leggies helped me know the task was accomplished. A low calorie burning cardio that focused on helping my quads and hammies grow! Right On! And a super cudo goes out to coach Carla for her awesome program!
