Where's The Fun?

Despite being up all night with my sick little Reagan...
I think she just has a bad cold. Poor thing, is resting and hydrating with her PR Team water bottle. This sickness could have been detrimental to my training, however my hubby is so supportive he worked from home so that I could go into the gym to train. Now that's team work!! Hey, I did take the night shift :)

I had a rockin' workout. The fun is back! I am surprised but extremely thankful, as this is where I know I am almost through. Last week - was tiring, the week before was just mentally tough. And, that's normal for competition prep, but not how it should really be on a regular basis.

I am enjoying the training, even the prep now.

And surprisingly have not been nervous. I know I will be nervous and it will be like lightening in a thunderstorm where the lightening juts through the sky here and there. Not constant, but flashes of it. It will most likely start when I hit the ground in Columbus. I have been practicing my breathing to help keep my focus and nerves at bay especially just before I hit the stage when I am waiting in the line for my turn to flash my smile.

So where's the fun?? We all need to be having fun with fitness. Even our kiddos. Make it fun, enjoy the time - look forward to the time. So find something you enjoy and go with it! Today, I was plugging away hard, and it felt great! That's how it should be - work hard, push hard, and walk away knowing you did the best you could and had fun doing it.

  1. Poor Reagan, probably all that snow that got to her. Final week, here you go!
