The List is Out!

The Arnold Amateur Competitor List is finally out.

I am excited that I made the short class. I think that it will be advantageous for me. There are only 18 girls in the class, but the competition will be stiff!! One girl from Austin that I know is already a pro in another sanction.

I am really feeling good about my changes. People at the gym have been very supportive. And right now, I really need it. I am so thankful for their encouragement!
My husband has been super as well. Really on board this time. If he believes in me then maybe this dream really can happen!
The children just keep asking when I am leaving for my show. "Is it show day mommy?" So sad, cause I know they will be sad. It is going to break my heart when I leave, and when I think about them when I am there.
But I know they will also have a great time with daddy - cause he will take them to the fast food places mommy never goes to!

At this point - so close to the show, yet so many days to push hard, it starts to get tough. You get worn out! These next two weeks just need to be over!! To me the last week of prep is the easiest, It's definitely the busiest, but the easiest because the time flies by. I think it's just the need to bring down the intensity level...the way I attack my workouts is a little different when it's what I call "crunch time". Now, don't get me wrong, because I always work hard and give my best 110 percent effort every time. The focus is just different. I wish I could explain it.

Diet wise, just tired of the same foods. But ya gotta do, what ya gotta do...there are only so many choices in the way of quality protein. My mouth is starting to miss the snacking again, so I think I might be up to 3 sugar free popsicles a day! Whhooops! But really, they are so small.

I have started to gather items for photo shoots. I have one scheduled and another that might happen when I am there. Lets hope and pray that it happens. It's with a guy from a big magazine. So, chances are he will be too busy for me!

This is a great opportunity to meet so many important people in the industry. I had a great time last year going just to "Experience The Arnold". It really is like no other venue! Click on the link to see how huge it is.

Last year I did the fashion show on that main stage. Super fun. This year, I don't know if they are doing it, but I just don't have time to be a part of it. Awhh man, seeing that makes me miss my red hair.

Here is a clip from last year of the fitness and figure girls. It is amazing to be up there with so many athletic, toned women all glamed up, gracefully moving across the stage!

You can just feel the excitment in the air....it is almost here!!
