Hitting The Wall

It's a long race, you have been on the course pouring your heart, soul and every inch of your being into it. There's been plenty of sweat, many aches and pains and even a few tears along the way.

You have pushed, pulled, dragged and climbed past any obstacle that has jumped out at you...and finally you just can't do it anymore. It's like mile twenty to a marathon runner. It's the point where it is too late to turn back and seems like it will be forever til you make it to the finish line.
You Hit The Wall.

Well, today I felt like I hit the wall! I psyched myself out before I even started....but in true competitive form, I dug deep and pulled myself together to finish it up with posing practice - in my sneakers!!
It's just been a long week. A Six day training schedule, with two a days to fit in the extra cardio work and abs because of my lack of energy and time with the childcare; adding on the lack of sleep last night and non quality sleep the previous nights, and a finicky little one - my buttons were pressed. And really it is not normally this difficult. I believe that it's just a busy time of year with a lot of extra curricular activities on my plate.
Being tired is solely from my lack of sleep. It is not a result of my competition diet. Because I am on plenty of carbohydrates, fats and protein. That has been a blessing along the way!

This is where family, friends and support has to kick in to make it to the finish line. My husband really has been great. He came with me to the gym today, and it really made a difference for me to just have him there. I know the support of the "Gym Family" will get me through next week too!!
