Ha, ha...
Here is a picture from last year - nah, you'll just have to wait til the show for the pics!
My attitude this week is so much better. I cannot thank the many people who have texted, called, Facebooked me and also emailed me personally with words of encouragement!! Even knowing that I may have inspired you in some small way, has pushed me through this journey - because your personal stories really mean something to me!
I know the road is long ahead and is not over yet. We have a long, fun year ahead and the Arnold is just the start of it all!!
My cardio has dropped off -although todays' workout had my heart pumping! Although I had an impromptu snow man building from our super Texas Sized Snow Flakes was a workout and a half!

They had such a great time yesterday. We got soaked by the wet flakes. We used up all the snow in the front yard that the boys went across the street to the drainage basin and got more snow for the really big one.
I am slowly throwing things together for my bags, and will pack my "show bag" soon too. I excitedly picked up treats for after the show this week....I am a pretzel queen, I love gummy bears which are and have be banned from the house, granola mix, nut mix...and some small assortment of chocolates - which will really only be nibbled on because of my lactose intolerance!
I will soon start my special last week cooking and freezing for while I am away.
Yes - that part really is tough, because you have to pre-plan and precook all the meals that you will need while you are gone and still competing. So, I need food for next Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat - because if I make top five on Thursday night, I will need to stay the course to aim for first and then possibly overall. Okay. That is a huge long shot!! Ha, ha... But, most competitions don't stretch over that long of a time. Some are morning pre judging/evening finals. Others are evening prejudging one day/finals the next evening. That make is so much easier, because keeping the food cold/frozen and fresh is challenging when you don't have a fridge or freezer in the room or a microwave.
Most host hotels rent them out long before and so you are stuck waiting in line with other competitors to share a microwave in a common room they have set up somewhere. Sometimes, I just eat it cold... because when I am down to the wire and doggone tired - it becomes what it is...food to fuel the body! And, that is the fact.

Look at that snow!!! You almost have more than we do, although we got hit last week, but it was mostly mush and melting today. You are doing so great Lori, I honestly wish I had your drive and motivation. Everything will go well for you at the Arnold, we will be cheering for you all the way up here.
