90 Miles An Hr to Zero

I finally feel like I am coming out of my fog from my Total Hysterectomy Surgery.
I had to have the hysterectomy because I suffer from a disease called Adenomyosis. It is similar to endometriosis except this disease grows into the wall of the uterus. It is very painful. I waited out my competition season and that was hard enough!
With regards to my surgery, I guess being lean and a "lightweight" as the dr.'s put it, I had a very rough time in my post surgery recovery. It probably didn't help that I had a list as long as my arm of pain meds and other drugs that I am allergic too!

I got very sick and was unable to do the second surgery that was planned to fix my hernia and abdominal tear.

I know now that I am in the clear, because the computer has finally made it back to my bedroom where I am "camped out".

Today is the first day that I am aware of everything that is going on and actually feel well enough to want to do things.
This is where the juggling act begins. The very slow road back to full training. The struggle of looking well, even though my insides need to repair. Feeling better but being sure not to overdo it; Basically the fight is not to do things that will tear or ruin my recovery.

Today the quick outting to target left me exhausted and in need of rest. I am glad that I am in tune with my body to know when is too much, and how far to push myself. I just hope I can find that balance when I finally start to pick it up a little bit.
My goal is to walk the kids to school on Monday when they head back next week. That might be a little too much, it is 1 1/4 miles there and back.

My hernia surgery has been scheduled for August 31st. So it will be and feeling up on the way back and then back down for the count. This should be interesting.
Thank you to my friends for the visits, calls, emails, Facebooks, and flowers. Resting at home would be boring without you!

Join me as I come back from the depths of sugery and back on the road to training and competition!!
